Dr. Adams completed his medical training at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He then completed his internship, residency and chief residency at the University of Arizona (Tucson)/Diamond Children’s Hospital. Dr. Adams joined as a University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Hospital faculty member in 2014.

Dr. Adams has varied clinical interests including co-management of surgical patients. This interest led to collaboration with University of Washington Pediatric Otolaryngology and Pediatric Endocrinology to develop standardized care of post-thyroidectomy patients as part of the comprehensive Thyroid Program at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Adams also became medical director for General Medicine Teams at Seattle Children’s Hospital in 2022. As medical director, he has focused on multi-disciplinary collaboration for Hospitalist Medicine/General Medicine faculty, improving medical education for medical students and pediatric residents, and improving patient flow and care through all aspects of their hospitalization.
