Application for Faculty Position in Health Equity Track

The UW Pediatrics Residency Program invites applications from our faculty for a 0.1 FTE position within our Health Equity Track (HET).

Background of the Health Equity Track & Function of Position: 

The HET began in 2021 and is a matched track with four residents matching into it yearly, with a total of 12 dedicated and passionate residents. The track's mission is to train a diverse group of pediatric residents to advance health equity for children and adolescents through collaborative clinical care, community partnership, advocacy, scholarship, and education. Residents have approximately 23 weeks throughout their residency dedicated to exploring and implementing scholarship/meaningful work within health equity (4 weeks of a curriculum block per year with the remaining time for interest-specific work). Responsibilities of the HET track faculty include curriculum design and implementation, mentorship, HET applicant review and ranking, and community building. More details can be found in the attached job description. The current HET faculty leadership includes Drs. Sabreen Akhter, Anisa Ibrahim, and Vaidehi Pidaparti.
