From: Damijan Goljat, Chief Information Security Officer, and Suzanne McCoy, Chief Privacy Officer
A recent uptick in the number of public records requests, along with the increasing number of reported cybersecurity threats in healthcare, has resulted in the development of a new policy, "Use of Seattle Children's Email Accounts," launching soon.
The policy prohibits automatically forwarding emails from Seattle Children's email accounts to those outside Children's secure domain. We understand that auto-forwarding may be a valuable tool for consolidating communications, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. Read more
By March 1, Privacy and IT Security require all auto-forwards to UW, SCCA, or FHCC email accounts from Children's accounts to be deactivated. Please contact the IT Service Desk if you have questions about how to deactivate your account.
Please share this policy change with your teams and deactivate your auto-forwards by March 1 and remind your team members who use auto-forwards to do the same.
