2024 Annual Faculty Review Process

I am reaching out to initiate the 2024 Annual Faculty Review Process – please read the details below about this year’s review process. Attached to this email is the revised Annual Faculty Progress Report that all faculty members of the Department of Pediatrics are asked to complete to facilitate their annual review with their Division Head, Center Director, Department Chair, Vice Chair, or Associate Vice Chair. Also attached is a guide for documenting your work in the “Contributions to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Anti-Racism” section.

2024 Faculty Annual Review Process

  1. All Faculty are expected to update their CV (in UW SOM Format), complete the Annual Faculty Progress Report, and submit it to their Division Head/Division Admin (and Center Director/Center Director Admin, if applicable).
  2. Faculty meet with their Division Head (and Center Director, if applicable), who will add their feedback to the Annual Faculty Progress Report.

a. It is expected that Faculty will send their CV and Progress Reports to the Division Head one week in advance of their scheduled meeting.

b. Faculty must meet with their Center Director, if applicable, who will add their feedback to the Annual Faculty Progress Report.

c. Do any of your mentors deserve special recognition? Please follow this LINK to nominate them for the Department of Pediatrics Faculty Mentor Award!

  1. All updated CVs and completed annual faculty progress reports are due to Faculty Affairs (uwpedsfa@seattlechildrens.org) by June 15, 2024. The Faculty Affairs Office is expected to receive the final electronic progress report document (i.e., form completed by faculty member, Division Head, and Center Director if applicable).
  2. ALL* Assistant Professors, Clinical Assistant Professors, Research Assistant Professors, and Acting Faculty will be assigned to meet with the Chair, a Vice Chair, or an Associate Vice Chair.
    1. These meetings will be scheduled by a staff member in the Chair’s Office as soon as the final progress report is received from Division Heads/Center Directors. The Chair/Vice Chair meetings should all be completed by September 20, 2024.
    2. *Those NOT included in this group are Acting Instructor-Provisionals, Clinician Researchers, and Faculty being promoted to Associate Professor/Clinical Associate Professor/Research Associate Professor effective 7/1/2024.
  3. All Faculty can meet with the Chair, Vice Chair, or Associate Vice Chair for an annual review if they desire it. Please email uwpedsfa@seattlechildrens.org to schedule these meetings after you have met with your Division Head (and Center Director if applicable) and have a final PR to submit.
