A resident educator should understand and be familiar with the Goals and Objectives of the trainee. In the beginning of the clerkship manual there are the “Educational Objectives” that can be found on this link
Resident educators are working with medical students as a mentor, instructor, observing and evaluating the student.
Should a concern arise about a student and you do not feel comfortable with addressing the concern, please talk with your medical student site director or other faculty member overseeing the student.
