We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a faculty member to help guide the clinical education across UW Medicine – the UW Medicine Faculty Lead for Learning. The UW Medicine Faculty Lead for Learning will have multiple responsibilities designed to help support the clinical learning opportunities for faculty and the healthcare team.
The first is to represent the faculty in a collaborative enterprise leadership model designed to create and evolve the UW Medicine approach for clinical learning, education, and skill development, ensuring that the right individuals receive the right learning at the right time with the best outcomes. Working in an interdisciplinary partnership, this role will help determine the appropriate approach to and delivery of clinical education for our UW Medicine healthcare teams.
The UW Medicine Faculty Lead will also be responsible for partnering with the Executive Director of Continuing Medical Education (CME) to craft the long-term vision for CME and Interprofessional Continuing Education for UW Medicine, including both internal and external offerings. This position provides the opportunity to help guide the strategy for CME as well as engage in the development of novel continuing education.
The UW Medicine Faculty Lead for Learning reports to the Vice Dean for Faculty Affairs and the UW Medicine Chief Medical Officer.
