The Center for Learning and Innovation in Medical Education (CLIME) at the School of Medicine is excited about this year’s lineup of events to enhance faculty development and build a strong community of educators.
CLIME serves as a hub for resources that support faculty in becoming better educators, honing curriculum design skills, and translating educational work into scholarship. The center is also known for hosting a variety of events, including Grand Rounds, Works-In-Progress sessions, and Conversation Cafes, all designed to foster a supportive and collaborative environment for educators.
CLIME has announced its calendar of events for the 2024-2025 academic year. One of the highlights of the upcoming academic year is the Grand Round Series, which kicks off on October 17th, focusing on navigating sociopolitical tensions in the learning environment. Faculty members are encouraged to register for this insightful conversation.
In addition to the event lineup, CLIME has also introduced the CLIME Educator Network, offering a new opportunity for faculty interested in contributing to teaching excellence across WWAMI. Moreover, the Clinical Teaching Certificate program, designed for clinical teachers, presents an excellent opportunity to enhance feedback skills, improve teaching efficiency, and more. The program can be taken as a series or individual sessions, providing flexibility for participants.
The exceptional offerings of CLIME are made possible by the dedicated CLIME team led by Dr. Somnath Mookherjee, a Professor in the Department of Medicine and the Director of CLIME. Dr. Mookherjee is a valuable resource for faculty seeking information about CLIME's offerings or guidance on career development as an educator.
