The Suicide Care Research Center (SCRC) is launching its first application cycle for the Collaborating Scholars & Pilot Grant Program, which aims to bring new investigators into the field by funding pilot and developmental research projects and providing mentorship and professional development opportunities to awarded investigators.
Funded projects aim to develop, refine, and/or implement scalable innovative interventions or service delivery along SCRC’s Suicide Care Pathway for adolescents and young adults (ages 13-30) in outpatient medical settings.
Awards are available to UW-affiliated researchers; we plan to make subsequent years’ funding available to researchers outside of UW.
Awarded investigators will receive:
- $100,000 in direct costs over two years ($50,000/year)
- Mentorship from center faculty and experts outside of academia
- Additional funds for conference travel, publications costs, and professional development opportunities
