The new Research Mentorship Award Program honors outstanding faculty research mentors. Current mentees receiving career/research support and guidance can nominate a stellar faculty mentor who is engaged in research at Seattle Children's.
Two $20,000 awards in research seed funding will be given to the selected recipients for exceptional mentorship in basic science/bench research and in clinical/translational/outcomes research to celebrate the pivotal role mentors play in the success of developing researchers.
If nominated, mentors must provide evidence of exemplary mentorship for up to three mentees and describe their commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in mentoring. The mentee form and mentor form are due by June 1, 2024. Winners will be announced in September 2024. For questions, please contact science education.
