The University of Washington has ten organizational Health and Safety Committees (HSCs) committed to fostering and maintaining a safe environment for all faculty, staff, students, and visitors. The School of Medicine employees are represented by HSC-4. Due to an employee departure, the School of Medicine has the opportunity to elect new HSC-4 members to represent all School of Medicine employees for the 2024-2025 term. We will have approximately one week for nominations and then one week for the election. All School of Medicine employees must have the opportunity to nominate and vote for their elected representative(s) on HSC-4.
Each HSC-4 representative is responsible for attending the monthly HSC-4 meeting, being available to colleagues who have health and safety concerns, and communicating health and safety information in both directions between colleagues and HSC-4. No special knowledge is needed. Eligible nominees include College faculty, staff, and students who hold a paid appointment and expect to be able to serve for the full two-year term. You may nominate yourself or someone else.

Nominations will close on Wednesday, March 27th, at 5 pm. Thank you for supporting our culture of safety!
