Faculty Volunteers Needed

Due to restraints in administrative staffing and the overall financial burden of administering a payment program, we are unable to provide financial compensation for your help. We know how frustrating this may be, especially for us to ask for volunteers when faculty are stretched thin across our system due to clinical responsibilities. We hope we can provide a more valuable incentive next year. We will be able to provide you with a Letter of Recognition from the Associate Dean for Student Affairs that can be added to your teaching portfolio for promotion.


We hope you will also benefit from participating and can:

Develop interviewing skills including awareness of unconscious bias and offering actionable feedback 
Support the development and success of our students as they prepare for residency interviews
Be inspired by the leadership, passion, and impact of our students as future physicians 

We will provide a training video and links to interview prep resources, including those used by students. Each mock interview is expected to be 30 minutes total (typically 20 minutes for interview questions and 10 minutes for feedback). Faculty will be asked to complete a short feedback form to facilitate this process.  Student-faculty pairs are expected to schedule mock interviews over zoom based on mutual availability.
