We invite you to apply to the 2024 – 2025 CLIME Teaching Scholars Program. The program, offered by the Center for Learning and Innovation in Medical Education (CLIME) within the Office of Faculty Affairs at the University of Washington, prepares clinicians and educators to become leaders in all aspects of health professions education and scholarship. Since 1995, the Teaching Scholars Program has developed a cadre of highly skilled academic leaders, many of whom have received local and national teaching awards and obtained leadership roles. Program faculty and staff value, encourage, and facilitate the ongoing professional and intellectual development of scholars.
The CLIME Teaching Scholars Program is a ten-month, certificate program consisting of interactive learning sessions, scholarly projects, and a professional peer group. Scholars accepted to the Program must block and devote one morning a week (Tuesdays from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Pacific Time) for ten months to have scholarly discussion and reflection on topics related to the education and training of health care professionals as well as their own career development as an health professions educator and scholar. Participants join in person in the Magnuson Health Sciences Building, with some limited flexibility to join via Zoom for emergent circumstances.
Applications are due by March 31, 2024. Applicants must provide a letter of support from their department chair or division head. That letter must provide a commitment of support, Tuesday morning release time starting September 17th, 2024, and a program fee of $4,500.
