Jennifer Franks, PhD

Jennifer Franks, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Genetic Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine and a principal investigator in the Center for Developmental Biology and Regenerative Medicine (CDBRM) at Seattle Children's Research Institute. Dr. Franks earned her PhD from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Genome Sciences at University of Washington.
The Franks Lab aims to understand the cellular and molecular dynamics regulating inflammation and progressive fibrosis in lung diseases and other tissues. Her lab specializes in developing computational approaches for high-throughput, multi-omic analyses to produce clinically-relevant results in complex diseases.
