Professional Bio

Dr. Blessing is an attending physician at Seattle Children's Hospital and an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He completed residency in pediatrics at Seattle Children's Hospital in 2008.

Dr. Blessing focuses on clinical care and medical education in his role in the Division of Craniofacial Medicine. He had similar responsibilities at the UW Neighborhood Kent/Des Moines Clinic, where he practiced as a primary care provider for eleven years. He has developed a strong interest in transition to adult healthcare, and he also enjoys connecting with primary care providers to discuss craniofacial topics.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Blessing has a particular clinical interest in patients' quality of life and mental health, especially in the setting of complex, chronic medical issues. He believes that a multidisciplinary team, with a diversity of viewpoints, is essential to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients and their families. He loves working with pediatric residents and medical students in the clinical setting, as well.
