Clinical Interests: With the ongoing advancements in the care of high‐risk infants in the NICU it becomes extremely important to focus on evidence‐based best practice. Improving the care of high‐risk premature and term infants is perpetual work in progress. Applying these evidence‐based best practices utilizing the best available evidence and measuring the impact of these clinical changes is one of the rewarding aspects in clinical neonatology. Areas of interest are optimizing nutrition, improving premature infant feeding skills, and improving respiratory outcomes in our high‐risk population are the focus of my interest.
Scholarly Focus: One of the most gratifying aspects of working in an academic center is providing education and mentoring to residents, fellows, and junior faculty which in turn makes us life‐long learners.
and teachers in this ever‐changing field of neonatology. The other important focus is developing clinical guidelines that will bring about change and improve health outcomes.
